Description
"What I affirm in this book is a prophecy that will be fulfilled shortly, because I have evidence about the end of the planet: I know it. I am not scaring but warning, because I am distressed about this poor Humanity. These events will not wait and there is no time to waste with illusory things."--Back cover.Tags

Did you ever wonder when the world was going to end? How it was going to end? Why?
Apparently the answers, according to this book, are:
soon
by colliding with Mars, and
because you aren't practicing Scientific Chastity.
I'm still not entirely certain what Scientific Chastity is, but apparently we really need to get on it before the sea monsters, nourished by nuclear waste in the ocean, become Nuclear Creatures and begin eating us all.

Ah, the free books that “authors” send to libraries… This was mailed to my workplace (school library) and upon reading the back cover, I immediately snagged it to take home. The entertainment value is off the charts, but it’s obviously complete drivel. This could actually be great to use in a unit on misinformation, disinformation, and reliable sources!
Hercolubus or Red Planet by V.M. Rabolu unfolds his perspective regarding the destruction of the human race.
The author claims that he visits Venus and Mars through his astral (subtle) body. He describes how people live there and how they are different from us. The way American government feeds us lies and no one wants to connect with the supreme Mother or Father.
I don't know if the author truly experiences the journey to other planets, but I do believe in astral projection and know that is not impossible. With the help of the right techniques, one can explore other places without moving physically. V.M. Rabolu talks about the connection of dreams with one's astral journey. This book gives readers a new perspective, but to believe the show more content or not is your choice. The language is lucid, and it's a fast-paced read. I recommend it.

Copies are still free by mail for those interested in such things. My wife has voiced her concern at the number of strange mailing lists I tend to get on, and it's also avaiable online, but my life would be significantly less livable if I didn't jump at such offers. Mine came in an envelope with a Spanish return address and a Canadian postmark.
I was surprised that the book wasn't merely a description of how we're going to get smacked by a comet and all die. You see, V.M. Rabolú predicted before the turn of the millennium that Hercolubus the Red Planet is going to come dangerously close to earth. When it does, we shall most likely all die, apparently from various causes including plagues. This is due to our own perversity. It turns out show more Hercolubus, like Mars and Venus, has intelligent life who will kill us all if we try to destroy it. We just need to practice Gnosis (which apparently involves mostly meditating and using mantras) and then we'll be saved -- it's not clear by what. Rabolú tells us the Martians and Venusians control their bodies and even their lifespans with Gnosis, and Rabolú claims he himself has mastered Gnosis to an amazing degree. Nevertheless, we're told in a preface that he was in great pain while writing the book and died not long afterwards.
My brother (who also told me about the free book) tells me Rabolú was something of a successor to Samael_Aun_Weor. The book doesn't seem to be meant for advertising any particular sect -- it's hard to even find out about any movement which is behind this free book deal, and there don't seem to be Rabolú reading or meditation groups about. In any event, it's an interesting oddity to put on my shelf at someone else's expense. show less

I don't know where to start with this garbage. I guess calling it garbage is a bit harsh, but read it and see if that's called for or not. I'm fine with people having their own opinions, but this is a bit ridiculous. This book is aimed at "correcting" the sinful world. The author starts out with telling the reader about a "sun sized planet" making it's way toward earth. Then tells the reader that he has "gone to Venus and Mars" and to describe how those beings, which he calls humanity for some reason, live and how much better and advanced they are than us. I would just like to know what made this guy so special to think that people will believe that he did any of this without the aid of being asleep. Wait, to answer that question see show more the ending the book. He tells the reader that through mantras and sleep the "astral plane" can be achieved and we can go wherever we want and learn everything we would ever want to know. Basically this guy likes to sleep and dream of this "greater" existence that "only a handful of us" will achieve, because all the "gringos" (he uses that term MANY times, meaning Americans...so what about the rest of the very spiritual people of the world that he doesn't address?) will perish in their own societal collapse and then the rest will die in the collision with this "planet."
Bottom line i sent away for this since it was free and I thought it'd be interesting to see what the author wanted to say. Made me laugh at least. But like many people who "know a better way" they leave out much of the things that can be argued against them, and I'm sure if he was ever interviewed this guy didn't give a straight answer to the real holes in his book.
For anyone who actually read this, enjoyed it, and/or follows these beliefs continue on your way. I don't care what you're view is, I won't get in your way. But just think about it for a second that's all. I'll believe what I want and be a "gringo."
Wow, that wasn't a professional review at all. But on the other hand this book wasn't very professional or well written either. show less

I have to say it was a quick read, which is always great. I saw this as the authors personal opinion however, I can see the views and how these are tied in with everyday assumptions and happenings. It's a great understanding of the views of other people.
I found the book to be odd and not too credible in various places, especially about the monster that comes from the ocean's bottom to wreak havoc. I did like the one about planet Mars and Venus and their ways of life. Overall an interesting book, but not my cup of tea.
