This was just completely delightful. Birdy and I listened to it yesterday afternoon, pretty much directly after I read Helen's review of it. Our version was narrated by Christina Pickles, and she did a fabulous job of it. I believe the one that Helen listened to was narrated by Glenda Jackson. The premise is that an older woman has found the Holy Grail in the local Oxfam shop and has taken it home, cleaned it up, and placed it on the mantle. It's not long before Sir Galahad comes calling to try to recover it, but alas, Mrs. Whitaker does not want to trade. It's a short story that is charming from beginning to end and had us laughing out loud.
Lovely tale about an elderly lady buying the Holy Grail at a sale.
:)

Wikked clever. Def recommend. Would make a great bedtime book when my daughter is a little bit older. 5 stars
