Beaver works hard to build a lodge for him and his family. They live safely and comfortably among their community of animals until the rains come and the lodge is destroyed. Will Beaver have to build a new home?
The beautiful full color illustrations combine with the narrative text to give young readers their first glimpse into the life of a Beaver. The author uses rich text to give the reader information in the form of a story. More Beaver facts as well as a glossary and websites are included. This book would work well as a read aloud for older preschoolers and early elementary. Students in 2nd and 3rd grades could also use it as a reference for early research projects.

Very excited to do this book come spring or summer. It's very much in the style of "this is the ___ that ____" and I didn't realize just how well that actually translates into nonfiction.
