I dunno. Maybe if I were Christian I'd appreciate this more. It just didn't have the power some parables and stories do, though. ( )

The angel has a halo. I'm sure there is a Christian slant to this, but the retelling is reasonable. Ms. Paterson adds her own spin by saying that Balaam's donkey acts strangely in front of other people and that Balaam's reaction is therefore due his embarrassment about not being able to control his animal. The pictures are vibrant.
