For centuries Western scholars have attempted to solve the many mysteries of the Orient. But only in this century has one of the East's most potent enigmas been revealed: the awe-inspiring, dynamic and destructive power of their martial artists.

The brotherhood of secrecy that has surrounded the martial arts of the East has meant that many of their mysteries have only recently come to light. During the Korean War returning U.S. servicemen brought home their lethal skills and initiated a massive interest in the martial arts in America. Today this interest has turned into a passion for many enthusiasts around the world.

Martial Arts of the Orient revelas and explains the techniques of the world's most deadly adversaries. It explores the world of karate, kung fu, taekwon-do, and many more-including those experts in death by assassination, the ninja. It also explores the arts of mystical self-defense, the realm of mind over matter. As never before, this book takes the reader on a journey along the dangerous two-edged sword of kill or be killed.
