This one is a mixed bag as far as patterns go. I have knit two so far, one worked well and the other one did not. The patterns are a result of a contest and so each one has different authors. Patterns do mostly fit the standardized knitting instructions.
Great range of socks from simple to complex, from easy to wildly creative. Includes edible socks made of "licorice" whips...
Some of the socks are downright ghastly - especially the coloured ones. The textured socks are ok. The spiral socks seem interesting - I'm working on them, and I still don't see how they're going to turn into socks...
Ok. A few of the patterns stand out from the rest, but not enough to be a book I use all the time. If I would have been able to browse the book before buying, I would not have bought it.
Great, beautiful patterns, but most are much too hard for a beginner sock knitter.
Some great patterns in here.
Some gorgeous sock patterns,
