Description
Leviathan Fitness is the favorite place of monsters, muscles, and a tentacled creature who can seduce even the hardest-to-win-over human. When parks department supervisor Reece Rollins decides to sign up for a triathlon, there are two things holding him back. One, his fear of monsters. Two, his sub-par swimming skills. At the urging of his sister's wolven mate, Reece joins Leviathan Fitness to train in the gym's olympic size swimming pool. After running into Reece at the pool, Cyrus offers show more to help Reece get ready to win the race. New feelings arise from the depths as Reece and Cyrus learn that monsters and humans go together, tentacle in hand. The only question is, can these two hold on to their newfound love despite their differences? Contains mature themes. show lessTags

Tentacles and Triathlons
by Ashley Bennett
In this fascinating world, hybrid and "monster-looking" creatures are just part of the public, like bears, birds, wolves, and even things with tentacles. A mortal guy is training for a Triathlon but needs help with his swimming training. His friend suggested the new guy with tentacles. It's a cute love story. It made me giggle in spots. It's sweet but gets spicy, too. It has real-life struggles along with the paranormal aspects. I don't normally read romance, but this had enough odd fantasy that I thought I would give it a try. I'm glad I did.
The characters were fun. The world building was great. Loved the banter and the plot. Definitely would recommend it!
I want to thank the publisher and show more NetGalley for letting me read this wonderful book. show less

I really loved Muscles and Monsters, so I knew I had to keep reading the series even though M/M is not generally my go-to. I really enjoyed getting to know more about Reece and meeting Cyrus - he’s just the sweetest cinnamon roll/golden retriever BF, with a bit of a kinky streak! It’s a sweet but steamy lighthearted monster romance. If you’re one that prefers their monsters to be more of a beach read than a dark romance, pick this one up!
This was my first foray into tentacles and I thought this was sweet. Cyrus and Reece meet at an engagement party and almost immediately, Cyrus zings on him and whoops. This dude that's afraid of monsters is his mate.
Instead of freaking him out with it, Cyrus spends time with Reece by helping him train for a triathlon where they get a chance to get to know each other. So this kind of ends up being a gym bros to lovers and I wouldn't have it any other way.

This was a good read. M/M is not my preferred but tentacles... so it was definitely worth it. The character evolvement and progress was wonderful, I was very iffy going into this after the notions from the first book stated Reece would be racist. On top of top tier smut, the plot being quite hypnotising and monsters the MLI was also very in tune with his emotions and was very swoon-worthy

The entire book I was trying to visualize exactly how Cyrus' entire body looks like, and I decided just to give up. Cute story.
