I first remember reading this back in the late 70's or 80s and being totally enamored of the scratch and sniff idea! I don't think kids get them much today but back in the early 80's we collected scratch and sniff stickers like fiends. I remember a couple of teachers used to give them out if you got good grades. There were even scratch and sniff stickers that smelled like skunks! Ahh... good times.

So this book holds quite a nostalgia factor for me. The text of the book is pretty basic, with short declarative sentences. Great for beginning readers. The illustrations are cute and cartoony. It's a pretty typical "getting ready for Christmas" story, but the scratch and sniff adds a fun element and the art is sweet.
Six Christmas fragance labels inside for you to scratch and sniff.
