Although not as funny as The Legend of Spud Murphy, this book was quite enjoyable. The idea of 3-year-old Marty leading 2-year-old Will into the street, having him walk the line and leaving him there is interesting. Marty does this in hopes that Will will walk the line until he finds a new family to take care of him so that Marty does not have to deal with him anymore. Pretty creative for a 3-year-old.
Read this to my 7 year old son for something different and he really liked it. It's got great pictures, a great plot that held his attention and was funny. I found myself wanting to read the next chapter the next day! And would look into the rest of the series and other books by this author.
The bestselling author of Artemis Fowl returns with the latest chapter in the wickedly funny adventures of troublesome brothers Marty and Will. It's a tale of sweet-toothed sibling rivalry, cartain to keep Eoin Colfer's legions of fans happy.
Every week Marty wins a big red juicy jelly baby for being 'the best boy in the world'. Now his younger brother is challenging him for the prize. Marty's not about to give up that giant delicious sweet for anybody- not without a fight. How can Marty get rid of Will without his mum and dad noticing? Where there's a Will, there might just be a way...
Not up to the quality of his Artemis Fowl books, but still a fun short read for younger children (or adults).
Good for a range of 7 to 9
