Delightful Read
I enjoyed this slow burn romance, the conflict, the tension and the love that conquers it all. The story ticked of all my expectations and more. I laughed at the dance the MCs did around each other & was delighted to see them fall. Grow hard & fall into the abyss of their very own destiny. A very wonderful read.

I absolutely loved the Twisted series and as soon as I finished it, I was dying to read Dante’s story and now that I finally read it, I’m happy to say it didn’t disappoint me.
King of Wrath is the best book I read by the author. I love this as much as Twisted Lies. It is a captivating tale of love, power, desires, and dysfunctional family and relationships. It might not be most original story but as I have read her other books I knew what to expect. Like all her books, it felt refreshing and engaging.
Power in Ana Huang’s books lies with her characters. They have something in them that draws you in from the very first page.
Dante is ruthless, powerful, show more cold, and control freak CEO. He prides himself on having control over everything in his life, even with his emotions. I usually don’t like controlling men in romance but the author made me fall for Dante without an ounce of doubt.
I loved seeing him change bit by bit. He never liked the situation he was put in, he didn;t show he was interested in it or was going to try to work it out but he never disrespected Vivian, not truly. He was closed to conversations that looked like he was an asshole but it wasn’t his fault, just his nature and being reminded or having reminders of what Vivian’s father did to him didn’t help.
But as story progressed, developing feelings was inevitable, even for a person like Dante. He tried to push it away and it didn’t work for him and I loved how he treated Vivian like she was everything in the world after that. The dates he planned were swoon-worthy. I loved them even more when he was trying to win her back. His patience and persistence were admirable.
I liked him even more after knowing about his family and how it affected him and his brother. It was great to get his mother’s perspective and also how Vivian supported him and made them put more effort with Dante. They weren’t the best parents but like Dante said his parents looked lovely compared to Vivian’s.
Vivian at first looked like a meek and mild-mannered society girl who would do anything for her parents and that isn’t the most negative point but I never liked her parents, especially her father who sold his daughter to arrange marriage through blackmail just so he could get into blue-blooded society circle.
I hated her father even more for his gut to threaten Dante. Idiot didn’t even know what would happen to him once he lost his leverage and all this time he kept criticizing Vivian and kept saying it’s because of him they have this lavish life. I never like it when parents make “raising the child and making their life comfortable” an obligation that the child has to pay for by doing what they say regardless of their own feelings.
I have seen such parents who say “I raised you, I paid for your studies that made you reach at this position.. I did this, I did that…” and I have seen how that makes their offspring look guilty for something they didn’t do wrong. So I might be biased but I hate this kind of parenting and emotional blackmail.
Clutches of such emotional parenting blackmail Vivian felt was realistic and genuine. I could get how it made her feel. It was just sad it took Vivian so long to see what her father did and was doing. All these times her friends and every other person in life kept telling her she didn’t have to do what he said but it took a blow of truth that involved Dante to make her stand up for herself. Even though she was hurt Dante didn’t tell her the truth, I loved her for not giving in to another blackmail by her father.
I wish she hadn’t taken so long to forgive Dante but I can oversee it as I loved seeing Dante wooing her and how all that solidified their relationship even more. It was fabulous to see her succeding in her career as well.
I loved Vivian’s friends – Sloane and Isabella. They were amazing supporting characters. I also enjoyed meeting people in Dante’s circle, especially Kai. I’m sure he and Isabella will make an amazing story so I’m definitely reading next book in this series ASAP.
The climax was as I anticipated. Like I said before, what I didn’t anticipate was how long it took for Vivian to forgive Dante but in the end, it worked out just perfectly.
Overall, King of Wrath is a captivating, entertaining, relatable billionaire romance with hate to love and arranged marriage trope. show less

I'm a huge fan of arranged marriage romance novels. Dante Russo caught my attention in Twisted Lies, and I was excited to see more of him in King of Wrath. The book starts with Dante and Vivian Lau entering into an arranged marriage, both of them reluctant and under pressure. Dante is being blackmailed, and Vivian feels obligated to her family. As the story progresses and they move in together, the tension between them heats up, and the dynamic becomes more complex. The author does an excellent job of building their relationship from a forced arrangement to something more meaningful. The book is full of heart-pumping moments, and I found myself rooting for Dante and Vivian. Overall, it is an excellent start to a new series, and I can't show more wait to read more. The characters are intense, the plot is intriguing, and the writing is superb. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys arranged marriage romance novels. show less
I'm half way thru this book and I already want to stop but my pride is making me finish it.
The MCs are not likeable and annoying. The characters don't stay true to their personality and do the opposite of what they would do.
It feels both predictable and random at the same time.
This seems more like a wattpad story or one of those chapter story games. Kai seemed more interesting and likeable in the one chapter he was in than these characters.

I read king of pride and I kind of liked it, but this one?
They have to be married for business/blackmail reasons and they don’t get along, yet they keep talking about how attracted they are to each other.
That’s it. They are physically into each other.
They get to know each other eventually, but it felt like the bare minimum to me. Dante is still a jealous asshole with violence issues. Vivian is somehow not seeing this as a massive red flag.
1.5 stars because I did like the few insights into how money and ambition ruined both families. Both Dante and Vivian are the people they are because their grandparents/parents chose wealth over a healthy family life.

I loved the chemistry between Vivian and Dante, hence the four stars! The plot was also really fun and engaging, so many twists and turns and backgrounds had me really entertained. Dante being so grumpy at the start and an absolute cutie by the end was soo cute, he’s the dream lover! He had a reason to be the way he was. Vivian was pretty strong and rational too, so I kinda went along with the plot
