The pictures are nice, but the foreword by Dean Koontz is what makes this book worth the price of admission. I thought it was very touching. If you ask me, he's not much like his mean old man.
This is a beautiful book, focusing on the art to be found in cemeteries worldwide. Also included is a forward by Dean Koontz, who shares the painful story of the relationship he had with his abusive father.
As much as I love wandering in old graveyards, photographing the stone work, I think this book could of been done better. some of the art was lovely, but I expected more statuary and close ups of centuries old gravestones.
Primarily photographs by David Robinson, with an opening essay by Dean Koontz. Lovely art photos, but not a book you'll look to if you want to track down the exact location (or history, or name of anyone in the tombs) of any of these graves beyond the cemetery where they're located.
Absolutely lovely photographs of cemetery art - mausoleums, statues, and tombstones.
Photos of increadable Cemetery Art..
