The story here is primarily about pollution, but is nevertheless a cleverly told tale chuck full of hilarity and salient points, and introduces Spiro Agnew in the guise (fittingly so) of a hyena. Also is where one of Kelly's most famous quotes can be found: "We have met the enemy and he is us!"
This is a series of the daily Pogo strips from the early seventies. While the topics are somewhat dated, the satire of society is ageless. Enjoyed.
I liked this book as a kid & liked it as an adult. The math parts are priceless to me, particularly the Algebra with the 3 bats.
A 1995 hardcover Collector's Edition reprint of the original paperback.
