I really enjoyed this book. Brady's client, a judge, is up for a supreme court position and is being blackmailed for something that happened 18 years ago. The same night that Brady meets the blackmailer, he's murdered making Brady a suspect who must also protect his client's confidence.
Brady is contacted by Judge Chester Y. "Pops" Popowski to meet someone at Skeeters that he says is trying to backmail him. The guy he meets turns up dead hours later. He's also a newscaster at one of the local stations. The name Karen Lavoie comes up and Karen's father is the murderer.
