A detailed fantasy world that pits the God of Death against the Goddess of life. She is the only one that seems to be able to neutralize
his evil. This is one of many current fantasy novels in vogue these days with all important and good characters being women and all the bad ones are male. All the other "good" characters are animals - horses, dogs, and a doe, She is sucking up to her audience. For nearly five hundred pages there is a lot of dialogue but honestly very little of consequence happens till the final twenty five pages or so. ( )
