Warning: you will need to read book one to be able to follow everything happening in this book. Anise is a great character, and it's easy to like her. Her time at the school as well as her journey there were engaging, and the plot moves along smoothly. I loved being able to explore more of Liamec and the peoples that inhabit it, as the world is very well-developed. Lamperti's mastery of description makes it so easy to get lost in the story, and you'll easily lose time once you start reading. An excellent addition to a great series! ( )
