346.The White Tower, by James Ramsey Ullman (read 25 Aug 1948) When I read this I was kind of caught up in mountaineering--I had never been, at the time, over ten miles outside of Iowa, so mountaineering was a mighty exotic thing to me--and so I enjoyed this book.
Pretty good mountaineering novel. He also wrote Banner in the Sky which became a Disney film.
