A work of an erudite scholar. That is the second book of Mr. Schumaker that I've encountered. Given a breath of life - the personal genius and stoutness of character of the reviewed masters come back to life. Thanks to this work I was inspired to create a new decoding of John Dee's Tables, it was of unestimable soundness of research and breadth of thought with careful, unbiased and playful, yet strict narration. I would heavily commend it to anyone interested in reading fascinating biographies combined with an insight into the works of these personas. ( )
