interesting little volume that addresses some of the deep rooted issues in the Middle East. Very nice presentation of long-ingrained cultural issues via exploration of concepts such as nation and state throiugh looks at language and a history of the West placing its ideas and ideals on the Middle East. A short, but vital background work that should be mandatory reading.
