The pages of this book are not only very informative, but also very detailed in their illustrations. The pictures of each animal below and above their relative passages help the child relate the information with each animal. The colorful pictures are very lifelike and stimulating and the information is delivered in small enough words for young children to understand. The concept of young animals being cared for by their parents is a great way to relate them to the children. I also find it very helpful that each picture has both a parent and an offspring of the respective species. This book was both informative and captivating.
