The Endless War

This entire series has been nothing but five-star reads for me and The Endless War was no exception. Saying goodbye to Keris and Zarrah’s story honestly felt bittersweet because I adored them so much.

This book is such a perfect blend of political intrigue, war and action, tragedy, and romance. I never felt bored or rushed, just fully along for the ride.

Keris and Zarrah’s love story was incredibly sweet, especially with that forbidden romance element hanging over them. The way their circumstances constantly made it feel like they could never truly be together added so much emotional weight, and watching them fight through betrayal, sacrifice, and impossible choices kept me reaching for the book in every spare moment I had. I also show more have to say, Keris is officially a top-tier book boyfriend for me. I absolutely loved him as an MMC.

One thing Danielle L. Jensen does so well is writing strong, complex women. Zarrah was such a beautifully written character. Independent, powerful, intelligent, loyal, and willing to make hard sacrifices, but still deeply human with her own grief and inner conflict. She felt real, and I loved her for it.

I was so happy with how their story concluded and that they both got the ending they deserved. I’m already eager to continue the series, but I know I’m going to be a little sad when I finally reach the end because I’ve adored this journey so much. show less

I am so glad this had original plotlines for these two characters and brought in several other previous characters. I think this tied up a lot of storylines nicely and I am looking forward to Ahnna's books. However, I think some consideration should be put into the Veliant siblings as we have been introduced to a lot of them and I am sure there are several more still lurking around and I would like to know their stories.
