Other than a couple pages, there is little follow through from first book. Cilla has finished law school, now top DA in another city. Saved by a Batman type guy, Nemesis, she is torn between happy with his results but not his no help from police style. Falls for rich guy, Gage, a former policeman. Sexual attraction for guys creates story. ( )

Gage is Bruce Wayne, Nemesis is Batman.
Deborah falls in love with them/him. He can't resist her from the moment he rescues her.
I seemed dumb that working at the DA's office Deborah didn't know about hiding property ownership by criminals. ( )

Didn't care for as much as Night Shift. Too unrealistic. ( )

Masked superhero (he can turn invisible) with a fortune (shades of batman) meets beautiful DA, falls madly in love at first sight and then finds himself embroiled in an adventure that solves the mystery of who betrayed him and who is trying to kill her.

It's fun. The invisibility thing could have really been left out and the story wouldn't have been much less for it. It's a fun light read with echoes of batman. ( )
