This story has a ton of potential to be something that can be a book that a person will finish this book and still be thinking about it afterward. I understand a lot of authors have this as their biggest thing and want to set their books apart from the others. This book does it set it apart. Roselyne is a strong female who has been made a political bride to the Ruthless King of the Seelie. She has no desire to leave her home, but there is no choice. On the day of a wedding celebration, Declan, the Ruthless Seelie King, had come to get his bride.
Declan does not want to wait. He has come to take his bride back to his home. His magic needs Roselyne's witch blood to destroy the curse placed upon him. But as Roselyne settles into her new home, there is someone out there stirring up trouble and trying on numerous occasions to kidnap Roselyne. Declan grants Roselyne to teach her to protect herself, the two of them are finding it impossible to stay away from each other.
This book was a fun read. The storyline's bones were great and have a ton of potential to really expand. Declan and Roselyne's romance seemed just a bit forced. I would have liked them to be a bit slower and allow the characters to grow just a bit more.
The only downside is I knew who the villain was before even the end. It became clear when things started to disappear from the temple and his fake concerns were just apparent.
Despite all of this, I am really looking forward to seeing how this story will go especially with the cliffhanger. ( )
