Another Chronological Bible, this one NIV (I don't know if available in other versions). For more on Chronological Bibles see my comments on Reese's Chronological. The difference between this and Reese's Chronological Bible or So That's Why Bible! is that this one has already been divided into daily readings so you can go through the whole Bible chronologically in 365 days (no Feb 29). with approximately the same length each day. [I just now read the Jan 1 (Gen 1-3) reading. I'm a fast reader, so I tried to read it in a slower, more formal way, and it took about 8 minutes - so I'm guessing it is intended to be around 10 minutes or so per day, if you JUST read, without studying). This version does not have extra study and commentary - just straight NIV. no reviews | add a review
A fascinating way to read through the Bible! Now you can gain a better understanding of the order of biblical events and the historical context in which they unfolded. The One Year Chronological Bible arranges the entire Bible text-books, chapters, and even verses-in the order the events actually happened. In The One Year Chronological Bible, prophetic books are interwoven with the historical accounts they accompanied. Psalms follow the events they were written about. Proverbs are placed in the time frame in which they were compiled. The life of Christ is woven into one moving story. And Paul's letters to the young churches in the first century are integrated into the book of Acts. Transition statements help you understand why some Scripture portions appear where they do. You do not have to be a Bible historian to appreciate the fascinating new perspective waiting for you in The One Year Chronological Bible. It's like reading some of your favorite passages for the very first time. No library descriptions found. |
