I don't think that this book was as good as Deary's other books. (This may be attributed to the fact that we have less information about the Stone Age than other periods of history.) I am starting too find Deary's jibes at teachers a little tiresome- the joke stopped being funny a while ago.
The "Horrible Histories" series in unendingly entertaining. They might be slightly confusing for American children, as they use a bit of British slang, but they make history something that is interesting for all ages. I am not sure how accurate this one is, as it seems that information about the Stone Age is ever-changing. Still, it makes for an entertaining read.
