I like this series. It's filled with sweet pups, kittens, and a variety of other animals. Some like horses and sloths. Be aware that these "animals" are all human. I can't begin to imagine how any human being could possibly relate to a horse or a sloth enough to go into the mind set to "become" for even a short time. Puppies and kittens ...I kind of get. But to each his own and whatever "floats their boat". Mason, who was a "pup", wanted more than anything in the world, to belong to a "Master". Mason had decided that this was going to be his last year at the Pet Play on the Lake if he didn't find his forever Master. He wasn't rich...worked a low paying job, and it took him all year to save enough to even attend the four days as it was. Almost immediately after arriving at the resort, he meets Benedict. who saved him from two guys that were making fun of him. Mason just knew that Benedict was the perfect Master for him, and Benedick knew Mason was his perfect pup...but they were only going to be together the four days of the event. They should have, but of course they didn't count on falling in love. I became frustrated with Benedick. He kept saying that he was a workaholic and didn't have enough time to care for a pup...but he had time to attend this four-day event?? He doesn't go home at night?? Mason wouldn't be at work himself all day?? Come on Benedick! Even though I knew how these books in this series always turn out...I still had to wait WAY too long for Benedick to go and bring his "Pup" home. ( )
