Grant Palmer has over 20 years' experience researching the wildlife of south-eastern Australia, including the Otways region. He is an academic at Federation University Australia in environmental and conservation science, with a PhD in wildlife ecology. He worked with the Victorian Environmental Assessment Council on its Angahook-Otway show more Investigation, leading to the formation of the Great Otway National Park, and leads annual wildlife survey trips in the region. He is a member of the Otway Threatened Species Research Network and an editor of the journal Australian Field Ornithology. show less
