Description
"Set amidst the terrifying backdrop of the witch hunts in a quiet 1600s English village, SOMNA follows one woman's descent into an erotic escape from the confines of her puritanical world. Ingrid is unhappily married to Roland, the town's bailiff and chief witch hunter, who is on a single-minded quest to purge the 'heretics' in their midst. After a prominent town leader is found murdered, accusations fly and no one is above reproach from Roland's deadly crusade. Ingrid has her suspicions show more about who the real murderer is, but even as she pursues the truth, she's pursued herself by a shadowy figure. Ingrid finds that she's drawn to the foreboding phantom in ways she can't resist- does this dark and tempting stranger hold the key to the mystery...or will he damn Ingrid's soul to the blackest circle of Hell?"-- show lessTags

I really love Tula Lotay’s lush drawing style, here illustrating a tale of witchcraft in medieval England, where all the women and almost all the men are youthful and sexy, and occasionally take their clothes off. I think any actual medieval specialist would get a bit annoyed by the depiction of medieval life, but the point here is to have fun and revel in the sensuous story.

An eerie and erotic spin on The Crucible.
Burn that witch! Dream and wail!
Hump a damn demon and you land in jail!
I wasn't a fan of switching between the two very different art styles and wish they had just gone with one or the other.
FOR REFERENCE:
Contents: Chapter I. A Lily on Thy Brow -- Chapter II. O for This Quiet -- Chapter III. Whisper and I'll Come to Thee -- Chapter IV. Whose Had Was at the Latch -- Chapter V. Let Me Be Thy Choir -- Chapter VI. A Prick of the Tongue -- Chapter VII. Awake in Sweet Unrest -- Extras

Superb art style. I really like it.
The story ain't too bad either, definitely gonna order the rest of the series (even if I'm late to the party).
