Enid MacLean is finally living a peaceful life when she receives word that an explosion has injured the husband she hoped she'd never have to see again. Reluctantly, she agrees to do her duty but, except for his distinctive green eyes, the man she nurses back to health is not the man she remembers. And he remembers nothing. From the depths of his amnesia, he reaches out for the woman he believes is his wife, tempting her with show more ardent words and a reckless passion she finds herself unable to resist. And while Enid finds herself losing her heart to this achingly familiar stranger, she cannot help but wonder how her husband has become such a dangerous, seductive man . . . and what secrets he carries locked away in his lost memories. Enid MacLean has a satisfying life as the companion/nurse to Lady Halifax when she is suddenly called to the bedside of her estranged husband after he is almost killed in an explosion. As she nurses him back to health, Enid discovers that he is suffering from amnesia and has no recollection of his past transgressions against her. As they become reacquainted, Enid finds it more and more difficult not to succumb to his charms once again.

Lost in Your Arms is an engaging romance with a smolderingly sexy hero, and an admirable heroine. Enid and MacLean have intense chemistry and their witty banter is light and fun. The suspense sub-plot adds another layer of tension to the story and the resolution is satisfying. show more

All in all, Dodd is definitely back on track after the disappointment of In My Wildest Dreams.

I really enjoyed this novel. The heroine, Enid, has been abandoned by one husband, only to find herself lost and destitute until he calls upon her 9 years later. But this time, he's in need of a life saving hand from his dear wife. And what's worse, MacLean doesn't remember his horrendous attitude towards Enid. So she tells him in no uncertain terms, even as she administers to his ailments. Then to find out his life is in danger still, Enid can't help but wander as to the changes in her husband and why all of a sudden, she finds him most intriguing. Treachery, murder, and trekking across the Scottish highlands will take Enid and MacLean back to a place and time that will either bring them closer together or tear them apart.
3.5 stars really.
I enjoyed this book, it was fun to read, the romance and mystery/adventure combination worked really well here, it kept me interested if not totally clueless since I figured all out before it was revealed!!
Still I thought there was a little bit more drama at the end than necessary (don't want to give spoilers)
This I think will not be my last Dodd book!
Christina Dodd is a gifted writer. She has feisty women and haunted men who fight their feelings, not wanting to give their hearts to another. I enjoy her books, but the only reason I didn't give this a 5-star is the fact that it just ends. I feel like I need closure! Where's my closure?
I'm starting the next in this series, so I hope to find my closure here.
What a great story! I laughed and cried many times! Such wonderful writing and really engaging characters!! I love this authors work!!

I am currently on a Regency kick and this one was terrific!!
