June tries to forget about this vision, chalking it up to grief and nerves, but soon enough, she stumbles across a website for a winery in Napa, and the owner in the photo is identical to her dead husband. With her upcoming wedding looming, June flies to Napa for answers. But she's not prepared for all the secrets she's about to unlock, because everything she thought she knew about her first love is a lie. show less

Your new husband goes out to get breakfast, but decides to take a swim in the ocean and drowns! WHAT?!?! Years later, when your life is back on track, you see him watching you.

That’s is only one twist in this enjoyable thriller. Just when I thought it was reveal time, the twists kept coming. I really enjoyed this book and was totally invested in the characters and the situations. I changed my opinion of the characters so many times. They were all flawed, each in their own way. After trying to figure things out, I finally gave up and just enjoyed the ride. Yes, some situations seemed over the top and unrealistic, but isn’t that part of a good thriller! This book kept me turning pages and scratching my head. The best part, I found a show more new author to follow.

Thanks to NetGalley and Simon and Schuster for this ARC. This is my honest opinion.

Another day, another completely unrealistic and unsatisfying domestic drama. Unlikeable characters, inane babble, bad choices, secrets and lies tell the story of two women decades apart.

Told in alternating points of view by the two female characters, both unpleasant and loathsome. I liked them less as the story went on.

June marries Josh Kelly after knowing him for six months. He dies on their honeymoon but his body was never recovered. Drowning, they said. But June can’t forget the love of her life even though it’s 10 years later and she’s met someone else she wants to marry. She keeps seeing him everywhere. Then she sees a photo of him and his wife at their Napa winery. Of course she must go. June seemed like an overly obsessed show more twit of the highest order.

Bev is Josh’s mother. She’s married to David and they have a winery in Napa. Bad things happen and Bev makes some crazy decisions. She’s a terrible wife and an even worse mother, just saying. I despised everything about her.

This went from bad to worse as the narrative went on with a major plot point never actually solved and that left a huge hole as the question is unanswered. The conclusion was absolutely out of nowhere ludicrous and dropped my benefit of the doubt star down a full level.

If you’re interested in learning about wine and wineries, there’s a lot of information. I didn’t care about most of that.

I listened to the audiobook while following along in the e-book ARC provided by the publisher. The narrators, particularly the two women, had voices that I didn’t care for. I didn’t particularly enjoy the production.

I thought at some point, surely my questions will be answered and it will all make sense. And, these ladies aren’t so bad. But I was disillusioned. All very unrealistic and very slow.

Thanks to Netgalley for sending me this book.

This started off interesting but became quite convoluted while not really doing anything new or particularly interesting. This book relied very heavily on twists and it made the rest of the story feel a bit underdeveloped. The final couple of twists also really stretched credulity. I am generally fine with a mystery that is a bit off the wall but this one seemed to take itself very seriously and then had some unrealistic twists just thrown in at the end with basically no set up. The final twist in this book left a really sour taste in my mouth and I think was largely unnecessary. The book could have concluded without it. The writing is mostly good, and I didn’t have a terrible time with show more this, but I wasn’t blown away either. Compared to this authors first mystery, this was more of a miss for me. show less

'Till Death Do Us Part' by Elizabeth Flynn

My Perception:

"Till Death Do Us Part" was interesting because the author gives the reader something to think about long after they read this Wine story. We find out that June has married Jost, but he drowns during their honeymoon. Quickly passes away after one week of their marriage. What was even stranger... Josh's body was never found. After ten years, she becomes engaged to Kyle, but something strange happens. It seems like June is seeing her first husband, Josh, who is supposed to be dead. That's when this story picks up...as June starts digging into Josh's past. What is show more up with that? The reader must keep up with this read to fully understand what is going on or has gone on. Be ready for many twists and turns, grief, secrets, friendship, heartbreak, and drama in this thriller as you continue to read this story, as shocking revelations come out at the end and the horrible truth emerges! I will stop here because I don't want to give out any more spoilers. Be ready for two stories that come together in the end.

Thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Net galley.
