One of those movies where I always forget how good it is. It evokes this strange feeling, like waking up from a sad dream to find out everything's okay - a particular sort of beautiful joy that can only come out of sadness.

Clever and moving film. I'm no fan of Jim Carrey, but he was a good sort of everyman in this.

Banal and pointless. Jim Carrey can't act. Period.

Joel (Im Carey) is stunned to discover that his girldriend , Clementine (Kate Winslet), has had their tumultuous relationship erased from her mind. Out of desperations, he contacts the inventor of the process, Dr. Howard Mierzwiak (Tom Wilkinson), to get the same treatment. But as his memories of Clementine begin to fade, Joel sudenly realizes how much he still loives her. R 1 hr 48 min
