Remy and Rex's lives were blown apart when Remy's dad died 8 years ago. The plans they both had for their future went in different directions. Rex chose to stay with the club because he thought it was the only way to protect Remy. While Remy and her mom got thrown out and their lives made a living hell when her father's business was left to her and not the MC. Fast forward, Rex is now the president of the Zulu Kings MC, a single dad to Birdie, and thinks it's time Remy knew the truth about what really happened when her dad died. Remy has struggled to be a single mom to Beaux, starting the Voodoo City Queens MC and becoming the president, and fighting the Zulu Kings (now ex) President Wolff to keep her dad's shop and rebuild it to continue his legacy. Neither of them saw what was going on behind their backs until it was too late and it was in their faces. Once the lies and secrets are out, the betrayal is healed, the bad seeds removed, and the past burned to the ground will they be able to start fresh and rebuild their legacy for the future or will the damage done be too great to overcome?
I gave this a 4-star rating and a 3-spicy rating. Remy is one hell of a biker chick through and through. There's a strength in her that she wouldn't have if she hadn't gone through everything in her past. Rex is the one meant for Remy and always was since they met. Although he tried to do what he thought best and it didn't turn out the way he thought it was admirable. I wish there would have been more of the MC in the book and not just their church meetings. It didn't give off the feel of being an MC until they teamed up with the Zulu Kings MC which was a bit disappointing but the drama with Rex and Remy made up for it. I can't wait to see what the next book will be. I definitely recommend this one!
