This review was written by the author.
I had a lot of fun writing this one and really rounding out the characters. I found myself smiling quite often and even laughing out loud at the competitive nature of Duncan Jamison's and Nick Hanlan's relationship. The story nearly ended three times but then somehow kept going until the final ending. ( )

Book description
A compelling thriller that begins in the mountains of Idaho when Assistant District Attorney of Wilmington, North Carolina, Sylvianna Dunlap, goes back home to visit her old hometown out of respect for her long dead sister, Elaine. Meeting old acquaintances stirs up old wounds and memories best left in the past, and leaves Sylvie wondering if she wouldn't have been better off never leaving her new home of Wilmington.
