It is Christmas but for the Justice Minister not a merry one, he has received a message telling him that he will days in a few days time. Meanwhile the police have found a pile of bones in the metro tunnels under Stockholm and there's a missing stockpile of explosives. Calling in Vincent Walder again, Mina Dabiri is forced to confront her emotions as well as her neuroses but all the team have to pull together to solve a series of murders and a potential terrorist attack.
Even trying to write a precis for this book is really difficult as it has a very full set of plotlines. However, as with all Lackberg books, the plot is scattered but makes sense when pulled together. The addition of a 'mentalist' to the writing team really adds show more something as Walder is a character that works incredibly well as a foil to the police procedural. This feels like a long book because so many relationships are considered, it's well-rounded in terms of character development as well as narrative. As this is the final one in the series, the twist at the end is magnificent! show less
