Punk Farm on Tour

When Farmer Joe heads off to the National Tractor Society Conference, the band - Sheep, Pig, Cow, Goat, and Chicken - hits the road! They take an unlikely route in their spruced up (but still unreliable) van, from Maine to Florida to Colorado and back home, where they arrive just seconds before oblivious Farmer Joe ("Hope it wasn't too quiet on the farm!"). The musical number this time is "The Wheels on the Bus." Nearly all of the painterly illustrations are full-bleed single- or double-page spreads, with just a few (mostly van scenes) in air frames. Endpapers show maps with the characters painted over them.

This is the second book about a farm animal band that must stay a secret from their farmer, Joe. In this story, they go on a tour, totally DIY and punk. They have to make it in the van that won't work so well, and deal with bad weather, each other's faults, and the crazy crowd, and be sure to beat Farmer Joe back to the farm so he never knows they left.
