Seems very precent to our current state of affairs in this world of ours.
Author Freed has written an almost terrifying book on the political state that the SW universe found themselves in. Set in the time right after Chancellor Palpatine brought ended the Republic and set up his reign as Emperor over the Galactic Empire. The story is told from the perspective of Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, and Saw Gerrera amongst others, and through their eyes we see the darkness and the terror of the regime and how they are implementing their control over the galaxy and how these three are pushing back to hold on to justice, democracy, and choice. A good blend of politics, intrigue, and action Mr. Freed has added a very nice title of the Rebellion show more lifecycle in the Star Wars universe that slides into place like it was always there. A must read for any and all Star Wars fans, and for anyone who is interested in great Sci-Fi writing. show less

3 1/2 stars: Good
Follows Mon Mothma, Bail Organa and Saw Gerrera as they navigate the opening weeks of the empire, after the events in Revenge of the Sith. A good read, I particularly liked following Mon Mothma's journey. Also it gave more in depth characterization between all 3, and shows that Mon and Bail were not particularly close although they shared same goals.
A good, engaging read.
