This book is about a little reindeer and his father. His father tells him that he will be leaving until after Christmas. His dad tells him that the place where he is going is a magical place. One night he and the animals in the woods go searching for his father. They reach the North Pole and meet Santa Claus. He then discovers that his father leads Santa's sleigh. I didn't find a theme in this story. I would recommend this book for any small child who believes in Santa Claus.

This was a great story for Christmas. It gives a different point of view for Christmas. You don't find to many stories told from the reindeer's point of view. In most of the stories include the reindeer living in the north-pole with Santa and not going to the north-pole when it is close to Christmas. It as a fun book.
Little Reindeer loves his Mama and Papa. Every night Papa tells Little Reindeer about a magical place on top of the world. Little Reindeer is curious about this place. Papa leaves and says he will be back by Christmas. Little Reindeer decides to go look for Papa on Christmas Eve. Little feels on top of the world when he reaches his dad and Santa. I would read this book to younger students around Christmas time. Reading this book brings up memories and the feeling of Christmas. The book is also about a family with a close bond.
