This is a great little tale where Tanith expertly weaves fantasy and a smattering of sci-fi. Shon is smart and sharp-witted, but his narrow view on the world still leads him to make mistakes. As always, I was immediately sucked into the atmospheric little world Tanith created in so few pages. I liked the character names in this one too. It's short (like 140 pages), so there's not much to say without giving away everything, but I'd recommend it (I mean, maybe that's a given at this point) if you're looking for a quick burst of sorcery-based fantasy.
