This is an excellent book on prayer. The Zaleskis bring together a large number of ways of looking at prayer from many different traditions. I think it is unique the part of the book where they look deeply at the prayer of the refugee, the devotee, the ecstatic, and the contemplative. This book is one to keep in your library. Their writing is engaging and reflects a deep living of the various modalities of prayer. ( )
