A young aduly novel set in Hawaii and on the surface about a young girl whose family is preparing for the upcoming wedding of their gay daughter. The real protagonist is her younger sister who becomes concerned about how development is destroying the native flora and fauna. She believes in and makes contact with leprechaun type creatures apparently well known in Hawaii who are worried about the same issue. They link together to fight for their ecological cause.
