This is really the ne plus ultra history of German airships during WW1. Although it concentrates on the Marine Luftschiffabteilung, the Army's use is not neglected (But deserves its own coverage.). The appendices and tables alone are worth the cost of the book.
This is the illustrated edition of the classic history and includes several hundred images from Dr Robinson's personal collection. Earlier editions had a scant 50 or so images. The text is that of the original edition. So, if you are looking for a copy, try to get this one.
The publication maintains Schiffer's deserved reputation for quality publications.
(PS. I am not now, and never have been, an employee of Schiffer Publications. I just think that good publishers should be recognized.) ( )
