Stubborn Puckboy

Waaayy back in time, Colby and Novi played on the same team together and were roommates. Novi went on to superstardom and being in the closet. Colby became a coach, because he loved the game and figured out that he just didn't have what it took to make the big leagues. Now Colby has become a coach for Novi's team, and he doesn't know if Novi remembers him, or how he will react.

I liked Novi and Colby together and how supportive they were of one another once they understand what happened almost twenty years ago. Once Novi was in, he was all in, and he never looked back. Novi was a character. Quite a character. He was funny and intelligent and a little different and all in. I'm just not sure that he got the the story that he show more deserved. It was as though the authors spent all their energy on Novi and didn't put any thought into anything else, including his partner. He was just...there. Taking up space. I mean, he matched Novi, and he had some good points, he just didn't stand out like Novi did. And maybe that was the point, since there can only be one spotlight in a relationship? (Also, is it weird that I liked Ezra better in this one than in any of the others, including his own story?) show less

Stubborn Puckboy is just like all the others in the series. It’s a weakness and a strength. They are reliable romcoms but this time I wanted a bit more of a story, plot action, other than just these two likeable characters getting together.
