A basic illustrated survey of London's "pleasures," from gambling dens and coffee houses to dance halls and bordellos. Made very frustrating by Cameron's tendency to skip around chronologically within each chapter, so you can't really get a sense of how the various elements changed over time. And the illustrations are often terribly reproduced, which is a shame. ( )
