I picked this up at a used bookstore, a lovely signed first edition in excellent condition. It is a riveting dystopian tale which I polished off in 2 evenings. Like Hilary Jordan's "When She Woke" and Margaret Atwood's "Handmaids Tale" the story takes place in a repressive religious future where women have lost their reproductive choice and many other basic rights and freedoms. The book will now be passed on to my women friends to read and discuss and enjoy. I definitely will be looking for other books by this author who is a very talented writer.
