Description
Two famous works in the history of the abolition of slavery: Walker's Appeal, a pamphlet which calls for black pride, demanding the immediate and universal emancipation of the slaves, and defending violent rebellion as a means for the slaves to gain their freedom; and a speech by the first black minister to preach to the United States House of Representatives, who joined the American Anti-Slavery Society and frequently spoke at abolitionist conferences. One of his most famous speeches, Call show more to Rebellion, was delivered to the National Negro Convention in Buffalo, New York.
