This is the sequel to the Golden Name Day - I never realized it existed so it was such a find for me! 25 years later I got to read the sequel to one of my favorite books in the world. Again I found myself completely enchanted by the Swedish American world that Linquist created - it is such a simple and sweet life that they all have - but full of adventures and wholesome fun - there is one more book that comes after this one - The Crystal Tree - and I can't wait to get my hands on it! I am certainly not going to wait another 25 years... I am delighted to have these books for my daughter for when she is able to read them - it saddens me that they are all out of print.. I think they would be loved by children today as much as I did growing up.
Interesting idea of fun things to do in the country
