This is a story about a boy who wants to be big enough to do all the things he wants. In the end he realizes its okay to be his size. Great for children needing to love themselves.
When Little Critter get bullied at school because he is so small, he begins to brain storm as many ideas as he can so he can get bigger. He tries eating all of his vegetables, exercising, and even a growing machine, but none of them work. He confronts his grandpa about his problems and his grandpa teaches him that being big is what life is all about. This would an excellent choice for a unit about bullying.
