I liked the book a lot and thought it was very subtly done! I haven't read any of the sequels yet, so it may get more ~supernatural~ but as it stands, it's such a well-layered book. Lynn and her friend Mouse spend the summer gathering evidence that her sister Judith is a novice witch under the tutelage of an old neighborhood lady, Mrs. Tuggle.
It's such an interesting look at sisterhood and a sibling's confusion at the onset of young adulthood. I thought it was really smart to conflate witchcraft with adolesence and puberty. Probably too subtle for it's audience, but great for those parents reading along.

Well written and suspenseful, but there is such a lack of resolution that in the end the book is unsatisfying.
Ein sehr schönes Kinderbuch, spannend geschrieben,
sehr unterhaltsam und in jedem Fall empfehlenswert.
