This was a story I read, but never really "clicked" with the characters or the story line. Don't exactly know why.

Callie O'Brian, a single woman trying to run two businesses, finds herself caring for 4 year old Keeshan when his Mom gets into an accident and is fighting for her life. Callie knows nothing about taking care of a child, but his Mom was renting out her guest house and they had become very good friends, so Callie feels it is the least she can do for Celia.

Then there is Marcus Jefferson, who is running from the people he helped put in jail for drug running (who is also the uncle to Keeshan). Marcus will discover that Keeshan's Mom is dying and will come out from hiding to find Keeshan and take him in and care for him. The problem is that Callie by this time has grown to love little Keeshan, so it is a fight over who will get custody of him. There is a lot going on in this story, but I had a hard time liking the main characters. ( )
