Clemens continues to weave an intriguing story, with characters who are a little predictable and some of whom are just role-players. But the world and the magic are fully developed. Clemens keeps the plot twists and surprises coming, while laying enough groundwork that they are not totally out of the blue. Two books left in this series and the scope is widening.
I was recently asked my opinion on this book and thought I would also share it as a review:

I had no expectations going into the first (Wit'ch Fire) and actually found myself enjoying it, the sequel Wit'ch Storm and also the 3rd book Wit'ch War. I intend to read the final two. The characters were likeable, the world building very good and the action easy to read and well paced. There are a couple of ackward moments where the transitions between scenes don't read quite right, and some of the character motivations are weak (they are better developed as the series continues), but that's rather common in many books. I've read better, but I've also read far worse. I think the books are worth at least an initial read - I don't believe I like show more them enough to reread. show less
Book 3 has done a good job of expanding the scope of the story to include so many people and areas of the world. The story is unfolding nicely with many cross stories being expertly weaved together! By far the best book so far in this series! The character development has been very nice and they almost seem more real now then they did in parts of book 2. Overall very excited for book 4 and further insight into the Wiergates and the Blood Diary!
Another excellent book in this series. The author has done an excellent job of keeping the pace within this series, considering this is the middle book in a five book series. I liked the directions each of the characters was pulled in, keeping my interest in all of them. I am excited to move on in this series and learn the fate of all members of this motley crew.
The saga continues with more new characters introduced and some plot endings. Probably overlong but still engaging. Book 4 soon to be started.
Wonderful series !
I lived and breathed these books for years.
I loved the plot, the story, the details.
It are the books that got me into reading again.
These are definitely books with a lot of memories for me.
