In Paris Cat, Annie and Alice are on holiday in Paris, and Alice chases a mouse and gets lost again. She is chased by dogs and nearly falls into the Seine. She ends up in a garden, where she is, again, rescued by her loving owner, Annie.
Baker is a much better illustrator than writer. Her watercolor illustrations are breathtaking. Her stories are authentic to the temperament of a cat, but they lack consequences, and therefore seem to be a poor story for children.
